Children and youth aged 5–17 · 2023 data

Government of Canada analysis of the 2023 Canadian Health Survey on Children and Youth reports diagnosed ADHD in 8.4% of children and youth aged 1–17, autism in 3.0% of those aged 1–17, and learning disabilities or disorders in 6.8% of those aged 5–17 across Canada’s ten provinces.

AFSV VRC’s proposed Sports Village places neurodivergent inclusion at the centre of its planning for sports, education and life skills.

2023 survey data for Canada’s ten provinces (territories not included), based on parent or guardian reports of diagnosed conditions. Age groups differ and diagnoses overlap, so these figures are not added together and are not an overall estimate of neurodivergence.
